A large powerboat pulled into the Hampton Marina today - it was Karen and Jeff, the people who developed and are running ActiveCaptain.com Turns out they are here for a few days, on their way south. Was great to talk with her today, since we have been enthusiastically using Active Captain to find our way for the last few months [and love it].
Active Captain is forming an alliance/partnership with the SSCA. So, Karen and Kate may be getting together here.
Had a farewell dinner with Jim and Peggy tonight. They are flying back to Minnesota tomorrow morning. That brings us back to our original crew of two.
Tomorrow, we plan to head south across Hampton Roads and up the Elizabeth River past Norfolk and Portsmouth and into the ICW. Probably will take the Dismal Swamp branch, but don't have to decide for another 15 miles or so.
