Many sailors and most cruisers know about ActiveCaptain.com
This internet-based system is invaluable for cruisers,
showing information on marinas, anchorages, hazards, and local knowledge –
everything from shoal reports to bridge-opening schedules. Information is not
only published by the site developers/owners/maintainers, Karen and Jeff
Siegel, but is contributed by all of us cruisers.
We would have had a much harder time navigating our way
south without this resource.
