The Peterborough Lift Lock

Passed through this today.  Much like the slightly-smaller one in Kirkfield (several days ago), but 65 feet lift (well, drop - as we are going downstream towards Lake Ontario).  This was the first hydraulic lift lock in Canada, the first in the world made of concrete, and the world's tallest.
See Kirkfield posting for details on how it works.
