First Leg of Journey - from river to lakes
Tomorrow about 8:30 am, sv-Ihana gets lifted out of the water at Lake City and onto a semi-trailer/flatbed. We drive north to Duluth to meet with US Customs & Border Patrol, so we can just call in when crossing back into the USA. (Fee is $16 per person.) Barkers Island Marina in Superior, WI, has confirmed they are ready to receive our boat and step the mast and put on the standing rigging. NLSC friends are already on their boats up at Barkers. Then 2 to 3 days of re-rigging - sails, dodger, bimini, masthead wiring, radar pole, radar and AIS VHF antenna, and cleaning of course. Loading dinghy and its outboard. Fuel cans, fuel and pumpout.
